Park Day With Daddy

This was another day at the park. Butch was able to come so I let him in on my photo shoot! LOL They had a fun time together. My two guys are the best.

New haircut!!

Rylan got his big boy haircut that I really didn't like at first. He had long bangs and more hair for the longest time and we got it cut really short. We spiked it for a while and then we did the faux hawk (when it got a little longer). We are finally to a point now that we can comb it down and it looks ok. Haha.

He is definitely the sweetest kid I know...of course I'm going to say that; he's mine!! I really need help with one thing though - how do I get him to sleep in his own bed??? He will fall asleep in there, but he will still come get between Butch and me in the middle of the night. We may just have to get a king size bed!!

Ry is still very in love with horses. I don't know why I thought this would just be a phase. We took him to the Racking Horse Celebration 2011 in Decatur and he was fascinated...for a while. He couldn't really get up close and personal with the horses because it was a show, so he lost interest a lot faster than we thought. We did get him some REAL cowboy boots and he doesn't like to take them off! He would sleep in them if I would allow him. He LOVES his boots.

Sept. 23, 2011

My PawPaw went Home to be with the Lord on Sept. 23. I am rejoicing in the knowledge of knowing that he is walking streets of gold and he is able to see and walk. I've prayed for years that he would regain his sight and when God decided to take him, He answered my prayer. I may not have seen that miracle on earth, but I know once he was absent in body, he was present with the Lord; therefore, he was able to see.

I have been very blessed to have had two grandfathers that never waivered from the Truth. They believed in being filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in the precious name of Jesus and living in holiness. Thank God for these precious men of God that will forever be remembered.

Day at the Park

Wow, I have let a lot of time go by without posting anything. My little man is growing up so fast. We went to the Springville Park about a month and a half ago and I took some pictures of Ry with the beautiful scenery that is there. The lighting and the weather were perfect! He does good most of the time. He was more interested in playing on the "swide" (aka, slide). LOL. But the slide was a good bribe for him to sit/stand still for some photos for mommy. :)

This is one of my fav pictures of Rylan and a horse. It shows his love for them. :)

The fam at the Horse Show this past weekend. Lots of 1st place ribbons and fun!

My little model ...haha.
We got to see little cousin Brennan (or "baby" as Ry calls him)
"Let me tell you about my horses..."

We had a great time this past weekend in Sulligent. We got to visit with my grandma and aunts/uncles/cousins. There were lots of laughs and we really enjoyed spending time with our family. Saturday we went to the Walking Horse Show and Dad entered two of his horses and came home with several 1st place, one 2nd, and a 4th place. Dad and Butch showed the horses quite well and we just had a great time. Rylan, of course, enjoys seeing all the horses. He actually got his chance to ride and we let him sport his Daddy's Entry #. :)

August 29, 2010

August 29th will mark one year since Butch and I lost what would have been our second child to a miscarriage at 8 weeks. That was one of the hardest things we have ever went through as husband/wife and parents. We were scheduled to have our first ultrasound to hear the heartbeat on August 30th. Instead, we had the ultrasound and saw nothing. Our hearts were in a million pieces. We already had such high hopes and dreams about what it was going to be like having another baby in the family. We had begun to prepare Rylan for being a big brother and telling him about the baby in Mommy's tummy. Of course, he wasn't understanding all of it yet (which was for the best). God only knows whether it would have been a boy or girl. My only comfort is in knowing that he/she is surrounded by a Heavenly host of angels and the one true living God. God had a reason and plan for us - we don't always understand at the time, but He knows best.

Baby, you will forever be in our hearts!
